The Chrysalids -
This is a really good book. I didn't like it at first, but I warmed up to it after a bit. Sometimes it can be confusing; all of a sudden 8 years have passed and he's in love! This book is about a blown up religion and the lives of the people who don't quite fit in it.

I love this book. The poetry is beautiful, and I love the classic tale. It is great to read it fully at last. Shakespeare is a genius.

Pride and Prejiduce -
I really liked the gentle flow of this book. It was really beautiful. The scenes were all so soft. Sometimes, I found the language a barrier, even though it really doesn't even qualify as old english. I loved the characters, the story was great, but as I said in the beginning, I just love the gentle ... (continue)

Half Brother -
This is one of the most amazing books. Kenneth Oppel has really undone himself on this one. The story was amazing, the characters were so real and lovable, and it was just such a good read. It made me cry, and I felt the ending was just. Usually, I'm all for they all lived happily ever after, in the ... (continue)

The Undrowned Child -
This is a really unique book, and not at all what I expected. The story is very interesting, and the setting is the perfect line between realistic and fantasy. The characters are good, although it was the "bad guys" who were really intriguing. I liked this book, although it wasn't a great read befor ... (continue)

Here Lies Arthur -
This book is a good book. I like the story line, and I thought the ending was good. I did find it a bit young, but it was nice to read anyways. It is set in the times when King Arthur is ruling, and is about a young girl and her adventures with his storyteller. The author had a very good voice, you ... (continue)

Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras -
This series went from annoying, to boring, to good, to PLEASE BE OVER, and beyond. There were parts I enjoyed, but then there were parts I just thought were wrong. I'm glad it's over. I did like the ending, and the concept. The series was a bit like "The Giver" only less creepy. I'd recommend this b ... (continue)

Zombies vs. Unicorns -
This book was quite funny. It debates over which creature is better: the zombie, or the unicorn. It's a series of short stories written by various authors about each creature. It's funny, though sometimes confusing. I really enjoy the little speaking of the authors before each story, where they sass ... (continue)

A Dog's Life -
First time I read this book I was 9. I really loved it then, and I still like it now. It's quite nice, and shows the harsh realities that dogs must live in. I really like how it's written in the dog's point of view, and it is a perfect read for anyone, especially dog lover's from the ages 8-12.
